One record for the whole boat

The vessel is the root record.

Equipment, maintenance, checklists, trips, costs and the people who work on her: all tied to the boat, so the history is complete no matter who's running things this season.

Maintenance that runs itself

Schedules by engine hours and calendar, work orders, approvals and a service history that follows the boat.

Every part, exactly located

Manufacturer, model, serial and markings, plus where it lives: engine room, port side, lower, under the generator.

Trips with a pilot's discipline

Departure and arrival checklists, GPS trip logs, engine hours, fuel burn and float plans for the people ashore.

The right pro, nearby

Captains, crew, mechanics, divers and yards whose work radius covers your boat. Request quotes, compare, hire.

Equipment

Know exactly what's aboard, and exactly where.

Log manufacturer, model, serial and the markings on the plate, an install date if you have one, and photos and videos. Then say where it really is, so the next person finds the strainer in thirty seconds instead of thirty minutes.

  • Area, side, height and a landmark: “under the generator, behind the fuel manifold”
  • Photos and short videos, even offline on the phone
  • QR labels that open the part's page when scanned

Departure & arrival

Checklists like a pilot's. Before every trip.

Each boat gets its own departure and arrival lists, written by the owner or the management company, with notes, photos and videos on every step. The trip can't start until every step is checked; when you're back, the arrival list makes sure systems are off and the boat is put away right.

  • Required steps, optional N/A, nothing failed: then you go
  • Reference photos and videos on each step
  • Arrival check reminders so nothing gets left on

Trips & fuel

Every trip logged. Every gallon accounted for.

Start a trip and the phone records the track, distance and time underway, even without a signal. Engine hours and fill-ups turn into burn rate, nautical miles per gallon and a range estimate that respects the one-third rule.

  • GPS track, distance and speed for each trip
  • Fuel burn, economy and cost from your fill-ups
  • Float plans shared with someone ashore, with overdue alerts

Quotes & pros

Request quotes. Compare. Hire in a tap.

Send a request to your favorites, your company's preferred list, or qualified pros near the boat. Quotes arrive side by side with line items, so choosing is easy, and an accepted quote becomes a work order that lands in the boat's history.

  • Pros matched by their work radius around your boat
  • Line-item quotes compared side by side
  • Messages with each pro, right on the request

Captains & crew

Book the trip. Fill every seat.

Post a trip with the positions you need: captain, mate, stew. Ask the people you trust first; then the offer widens to your in-house people, your preferred list and qualified pros in range. Each seat fills on its own.

  • Requested → in-house → favorites → preferred → nearby
  • Credentials and vessel size checked for every position
  • Paid through OUTSEA when each seat confirms

On your phone

Made for the dock, not the desk.

Checklists, work orders, equipment photos and trip logging keep working with no signal and sync when you're back in range. Approvals arrive as notifications you can answer in a couple of taps.
  • Offline first Work at the slip, sync later
  • Trip logger Track, hours and fuel

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Is it really free for one boat?

Yes. An owner with one boat gets every owner feature: the boat's record, equipment, maintenance, departure and arrival checklists, trips and fuel, float plans, finding pros and requesting quotes, on the web and the mobile app, with a video storage allowance included. No card needed. More boats are a per-boat add-on; your first boat stays free.

Does it work without a signal at the dock?

The mobile app is built for the dock: checklists, work orders, equipment and trip logging keep working offline and sync when you're back in range. A few things need a connection, such as payments, quotes and accepting a job.

Who owns the boat's records?

The boat does. OUTSEA treats the vessel as the root record: its equipment, maintenance, checklists and trips belong to the boat, and owners keep access to their boat's history whether they run it themselves or with a management company.

Are captains, crew and service pros employees of OUTSEA?

No. Providers are independent. They set their own rates, choose which work to take, bring their own licenses and insurance, and get paid to their own account. Declining work is never held against anyone, and any owner or company can hire any provider.

How does hiring a captain or crew work?

Post a trip with the positions you need, such as a captain, a mate and a stew. You can name people you want first; then the offer goes to your in-house people, your favorites or preferred list, and finally to qualified pros whose work radius covers the departure marina. Each position fills independently.
